Old Furniture

I like people with interesting characters and who got something to say. Same with old furniture. I somehow like personality.

This summer my old kitchen table received a make over. (Please find a previous post on it here->) I did some researches, invested material, time and love to have my table look pretty again. When ever I’m sitting at my table now, it is a different feeling. It’s still old and scarred, but the wellness program still is obvious. I cherish my table even more and when ever I sit there writing, I try to listen what kind of secrets the old wood is whispering…

Alte Möbel

Ich mag Leute mit interessanten Charakteren und die etwas zu sagen haben. Gleiches gilt für alte Möbel. Irgendwie mag ich Persönlichkeiten.

In diesem Sommer erhielt mein alter Küchentisch eine Verjüngungskur. (Hier ein vorheriger Beitrag dazu ->) Ich habe ein paar Recherchen gemacht, Material investiert, Zeit und Liebe, um meinen Tisch wieder hübsch aussehen zu lassen. Wann immer ich jetzt am Tisch sitze, ist das ein anderes Gefühl. Er ist immer noch alt und vernarbt, aber das Wellness-Programm ist offensichtlich. Ich schätze meinen Tisch mehr und wann immer ich nun dort sitze und schreibe, versuche ich zu hören, welche Art von Geheimnissen das alte Holz mir zuflüstert…

Nice work! Are the chairs original to the table? Just curious. I too prefer an old pieces of furniture too a new piece.

  Thank you. I got the chairs separately. The table was forgotten by someone unknown after a fire in the attic. It later found me and a new home. Love, Sovely

Schöne alte Möbelstücke, die Stühle sind sehr schön, passt. An diesem Tisch zu sitzen, sicherlich ein besonderes Vergnügen. Teile diene Vorliebe für alte Möbelstücke. Ein anderes Gefühl kommt da auf, als an kühlem Interieur ohne Ausstrahlung.
