I enjoy English language and I also love playing around with the words of my mother language, German. I‘m not happy about translations though – there is a reason for a movie like „Lost In Translation“.

In the case below, the German poem is the original. The English version still could use a little help.

Being (Yours)

I stare holes in the air
I’m looking for you
Hidden deep in my memories
Buried with years gone by
Yesterday, not long forgotten
You are always here
Close to me
You touch my heart
My soul is seduced
You support me to grow
My mind, my courage
We’re good for another
Never before
I’ve bee persistently patient
You are a part of me, a strong one
At the same time my biggest weakness
I hug my weakness like I hug you
