Why it’s hard to have faith in politics
Today it’s this way, the other day it‘s something else. Politicians. It’s according to their interest, why they say it one way and the next day it’s the other way around. They say one thing, but mean something else. Often it’s juggling around with words and facts. When they have a lack of knowledge, they buy experts, who do their job. They do not apologize, they mostly won’t admit mistakes or wrong estimations. When they do something wrong, it’s often beyond imagination, so they hardly are taking responsibility for their actions.
It’s often a lot of talking, less courage and action. Often they are fighting. Fighting mostly is more important than agreeing and finding solutions. It does not need to make sense and usually it does not, to normal people. We voted for politicians and political parties, unfortunately we’ll mostly come to the point thinking politicians aren’t acting on our behalf anymore. A politician is far away from regular life these days and it seems like most of them have forgotten where they are coming from. They were born as any other human being, but forgot what it means to live and to survive these days.
Superficially it’s easy to not like politicians – as we really have no clue what they are doing. Who is judging them anyways? Who is taking responsibility and consequences? Now imagine yourself acting like a politician. Sooner or later, friends and family will turn away from you and you probably will loose your job as well. Who cares about the responsibility you have, while you are brave making decisions? Always acting according to law and following strict rules, not to forget about all that paper work and regulations. It’s easy to blame politics for everything going wrong. Everything is tight to consequences. A lot of people stopped voting. A lot of people are standing up and speak out loud. A lot of people got tired from all of this. And a lot of people have no solution for any of this. Again, it’s easier to complain than taking action and making a difference.
All that seems to be part of the deal, yet it is a one sided view I am describing, soaked with prejudice. Further, I’m lucky wondering about stupid stuff like this, born and raised in Germany, with wealth and democracy. I sure am aware of that fact. In Germany, we need to bare in mind, that after all we are lucky to be free, being able to vote, to have the freedom of speech and lots more. It’s part of our responsibility as well, we all are responsible. Still, a lot of people try to push that away. We have various media and the internet to get information. We can try to follow where the money goes, looking for who is following which goals… to end up wherever the money is. Politicians and economy are very close parties, too. The life we are leading is not about humans, nature, health, knowledge… it’s all about the money.
In the end, someone needs to pay for all of this, right? So who is paying?
Warum es schwierig ist, an Politik zu glauben
Heute ist es so, neulich war es noch anders. Politiker. Es ist von ihren Interessen abhängig, warum sie es so sagen und am nächsten Tag umgekehrt. Sie sagen eine Sache, meinen aber etwas anderes. Oft jongliert man in der Politik mit Worten und Fakten. Wenn den Politikern Wissen fehlt, kaufen sie Experten ein, die ihre Arbeit machen. Sie entschuldigen sich nicht, sie geben meistens keine Fehler oder falsche Einschätzungen zu. Wenn sie etwas falsch machen, geht es oft über alles vorstellbare hinaus, sodass sie kaum Verantwortung für ihre Handlungen übernehmen.
Es wird oft viel geredet, weniger Mut und Taten gezeigt. Oft kämpfen sie. Kämpfen ist meistens wichtiger als zuzustimmen und Lösungen herbeizuführen. Für normale Menschen muss es keinen Sinn ergeben und das ergibt es normalerweise auch nicht. Wir haben für Politiker und politische Parteien gestimmt. Leider kommen wir meistens auch zu dem Punkt, dass Politiker nicht mehr in unserem Interesse handeln. Ein Politiker ist heutzutage weit vom normalen Leben entfernt und es scheint, als hätten die meisten von ihnen vergessen, woher sie kommen. Sie wurden als Menschen geboren, vergaßen aber, was es bedeutet, heutzutage zu leben und zu überleben.
Oberflächlich gesehen ist es leicht, Politiker nicht zu mögen – da wir wirklich keine Ahnung haben, was sie tun. Wer beurteilt sie überhaupt? Wer übernimmt Verantwortung und Konsequenzen? Stell dir vor, du verhältst dich wie ein Politiker. Früher oder später werden sich Freunde und Familie von dir abwenden und du wirst wahrscheinlich auch deinen Job verlieren. Wen kümmert die Verantwortung, die du trägst, wenn du mutig Entscheidungen triffst? Immer nach dem Gesetz handeln und strenge Regeln befolgen, um all diese Papiere und Vorschriften nicht zu vergessen. Es ist leicht, die Politik für alles verantwortlich zu machen, was schief geht. Alles ist eng mit Konsequenzen verbunden. Viele Leute gehen heute nicht mehr wählen. Viele Leute stehen auf und verschaffen sich eine Stimme. Viele Leute sind es müde. Und viele Leute haben keine Lösungen. Auch hier ist es einfacher, sich zu beschweren, als aktiv zu werden und etwas zu bewirken.
All das scheint Teil des Geschäfts zu sein, aber es ist eine einseitige Sichtweise, die ich beschreibe, voller Vorurteile. Außerdem habe ich das Glück, mich über solche dummen Dinge zu wundern, schließlich bin ich in Deutschland geboren und aufgewachsen, mit Wohlstand und Demokratie. Ich bin mir dieser Tatsache bewusst. In Deutschland haben wir zu bedenken, dass wir schließlich das Glück haben, frei zu sein, wählen zu können, Redefreiheit zu haben und vieles mehr. Alles das ist Teil unserer Verantwortung, wir alle sind verantwortlich. Trotzdem versuchen viele von uns das alles wegzuschieben. Wir haben verschiedene Medien und das Internet, um Informationen zu erhalten. Wir können versuchen zu verfolgen, wohin das Geld fließt, und hinterfragen, wer welche Ziele verfolgt … um dort zu landen, wo das Geld ist. Auch Politiker und Wirtschaft sind sehr eng verbunden. Das Leben, das wir führen, dreht sich nicht um Menschen, Natur, Gesundheit, Wissen … es geht nur ums Geld.
Am Ende muss jemand für all das bezahlen, oder? Wer zahlt?
