Freak Like Me

I do like people, who are special. You don’t have to be normal or like anyone else. You may be wrong and make mistakes as it is part of life. Be open, to what ever life got in store for you. Show gratitude. Share love. Be curious. You may be yourself, be true to yourself, be yourself and love yourself. Be passionate, dedicated, generous. Live a rich life, full of enjoyment, whatever it is you put your heart and soul to.

You may be a weirdo, anything but boring is fine to me. Don’t be a copycat or chameleon. Show your true colors. Personally, I don’t like it gray. There are plenty more colors and shades than that. I even like some sprinkles or glitter on top. It’s all good. Let’s enjoy different flavors. You may have some edges and rough parts, you may have scars, wrinkles and eyes that tell your story. Be convincing and be sure to be a strong character.

We all came a long way to finally be here – some know, some forgot, some ignore and some might be new to the great saga of life, being reborn over and over again and continuing to travel through place and time. A wandering soul, searching and on the way to live, learn and grow, to at some point be completed.

People don’t always have to agree on what you are doing, but you have to deserve respect.

Never hesitate, live your life – just go for it! Be a lovable freak so people know who you are and where you are coming from!

Freak sein

Ich mag Menschen, die besonderes sind. Man sollte nicht normal sein oder wie jeder andere. Man darf falsch liegen und Fehler machen, das ist ein Teil des Lebens. Offen sein für das, was das Leben bereit hält. Dankbarkeit zeigen. Liebe teilen. Neugierig sein. Man soll man selbst sein, sich treu sein, sich gegenüber ehrlich sein, sich lieben. Sei leidenschaftlich, hingebungsvoll, großzügig. Lebe ein reiches Leben, voller Genuss, und mit Herz und Seele.

Man mag merkwürdig sein, alles andere als langweilig ist für mich in Ordnung. Sei kein „copycat” (Nachmacher) oder Chamäleon (Anpasser). Zeige deine wahren Farben. Ich persönlich mag grau nicht so sehr, es gibt viel mehr Farben und Schattierungen als das. Ich mag manchmal sogar ein paar Streusel oder Glitzer oben drauf. Es ist alles gut. Genießen wir die verschiedenen Geschmacksrichtungen. Man darf Kanten und raue Seiten haben. Man hat vielleicht Narben, Falten und Augen, die ihre Geschichte erzählen. Sei überzeugend und ein standhafter Charakter.

Wir alle kommen einen langen Weg, um endlich hier zu sein – einige wissentlich, einige haben’s vergessen, einige ignorieren und einige sind wohl möglich neu in der großen Saga des Lebens: immer wieder wiedergeboren und die Reise durch Ort und Zeit fortsetzend. Eine wandernde Seele, suchend und auf dem Weg. Am Leben, am Lernen und Wachsen, um irgendwann vollständig zu sein.

Die Leute müssen nicht immer gutheißen was du tust, aber deinen Respekt solltest du dir verdienen.

Zögere nie. Lebe dein Leben – gehe deinen Weg! Sei ein liebenswerter Freak, damit die Leute wissen, wer du bist und woher du kommst!

    Great photos! Your article made me thing of the difference in being outstanding and those that are “normal.”

    Hah!!!

    Sometimes I meet a “Normal” person. I tend to be able to be comfortable around me…upon first meeting, and this somehow invokes what is “Special” about people. Sometimes it actually freaks me out…Like “too Special!” LOL, yet they seemed awful normal at first.

    Oddly, I do the same thing to people. I am so unassuming at first…and then I let my “Freak” out of the bottle…and sometimes people get very small…bang pots and pans while they back away. And I think I’m totally normal! LOL

    I loved this article. Let your freak out. The open and loving will just love that…and you. Of the normal? Sometimes they are simply not nice.

      Thank you Ian. Writing this, I remember that even as a little girl, I always felt „different“ in this world. I never wanted to adapt and always did my thing. Growing up, I sometimes wished to be normal like anyone else, but I learned to accept who I am.

      It’s good to be a freak.
